Rishab Rikhiram Sharma is a sitarist, music producer, and mental health advocate. Born into the legendary Rikhi Ram family of luthiers in Delhi, he began playing sitar at age 10 under the guidance of his father, Sanjay Sharma. In 2011, his talent caught the attention of maestro Ravi Shankar, who later made Rishab his youngest and final student.
He is the first sitarist ever invited to perform solo at the White House for Diwali by President Biden, and has performed for over 60,000 people at NRG Stadium, Houston — with more than 500 million viewers worldwide.
In 2020, he launched “Sitar For Mental Health”, an international initiative merging Indian classical music with therapeutic soundscapes. This immersive experience now comes to Dublin for the very first time.
